This year AIRA will presenting three Center of Excellence Awards, one in each of the following categories: Data Use, Data Quality, and Provider Participation. These awards will acknowledge new and unique approaches in each of these three areas. We encourage you to start looking now at the work you do with your IIS and consider sharing your best practices with your IIS colleagues. If you have submitted in the past and were not selected for the award, we encourage you to submit again.

As in past years, this year's Center of Excellence Awards will be presented during the opening plenary of the National Immunization Conference (March 30 through April 2, 2009). The Center of Excellence Award winners will have their submissions posted on the AIRA web site and have an opportunity to share their experiences on an open information conference call or webinar. 

The official call for nominations for the Center of Excellence Awards with detailed criteria information will go out at the beginning of January. You will get an announcement and the information will be posted on the AIRA web site.
