President's Column
I want to alert you to the AIRA Board elections coming up this October, and to urge you to consider running. There are several Board openings to be filled in the election, which will be held at the AIRA Annual Meeting on Tuesday evening, October 28th, at the Immunization Registry Conference in Atlanta. To ensure AIRA’s continued growth and vitality, we need to broaden our ranks and cultivate new leadership.

You are also welcome to call me at 212-676-2319 with questions, or to talk about the opportunities available and hear of my own experiences in AIRA. An AIRA nominating committee has been formed, with Sam Crosby and Terry Hughes at the lead. A call for nominations will be sent out soon.
While it is difficult to devote time and effort to AIRA, on top of a challenging full-time job, the rewards are many. It is deeply gratifying to work with creative, intelligent, and devoted colleagues. I continue to be inspired through my interactions with fellow AIRA leaders and partner organization members. Once again, I urge you to throw your hat into the ring!
