Provider Management Database Available

Has your registry ever felt overwhelmed by the challenge of managing hundreds of provider offices in varying stages of recruitment? If so, you might want to look at the Provider Management Database (PMDB) developed by the VaxTrack Immunization Registry in Riverside County, California.

The PMDB is a Microsoft Access program designed to enable registry staff to efficiently recruit, enroll, and retain a large number of public and private facilities. It has tools to help organize outreach efforts, keep track of important dates, conduct timely follow-up, manage staff turnover, and gather meaningful Help Desk data. It also has more than thirty reports to assist with program and staff evaluation.

The PMDB is currently being used by several California registries and has recently been made available nationwide. To learn more about the PMDB, visit the CDC website for the 4th National Immunization Registry Conference and download presentations by the PMDB’s developer, Jennifer West. To receive a copy of the database and its accompanying user manual, please send a request to jkwest@co.riverside.ca.us or call 909-354-1400 or 1-866-434-8774 (toll free). Although there is no charge for the PMDB, interested registries are asked to send a blank CD-R to: VaxTrack Provider Management Database, 10370 Hemet Street, Ste. 300, Riverside, CA 92503
