EPR Committee to hold Pre-Conference Workshop on Registries and Emergency Preparedness and Response

AIRA's Emergency Preparedness and Response committee will offer a pre-conference workshop on Sunday, October 17 from 3 - 6 PM. We are excited for this opportunity and need your assistance! We had a great response to our survey, and found that many of you are connected to emergency planning efforts in your communities, or would like to be.

We'd like to showcase a few registries during this workshop, and are looking for volunteers to give a 5-10 minute overview. Possible topics you could address include
1. how your registry is building strong relationships with your local EP team (even if it's a new effort)
2. how your registry was an integral part of the smallpox vaccination efforts last year and what that entailed, or
3. how you have tested using your registry during a mass dispensing exercise

Using these as examples, we plan to hold a mini tabletop exercise with attendees, briefly evaluate the tabletop, and discuss next steps and general recommendations for the 2004-2005 AIRA work year.
