July SnapShots: AIRA Schedules Two Pre-Conference Workshops
AIRA will coordinate two pre-conference workshops to be held on Sunday, October 27, 2002, prior to the 2002 Immunization Registry Conference in Philadelphia, PA. Both workshops will be designed to be interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
The first workshop will explore how HIPAA will change the healthcare landscape and identify the opportunities these changes will present to registries. It is scheduled from 12 noon-2:30 pm (brown bag lunch to be provided).
The second workshop will focus on the management techniques and tools needed for the overall planning and management of integrated systems projects. This workshop is scheduled from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm (with light refreshments provided).
Registration and workshop fee information will be distributed via email and posted on the AIRA website at www.immregistries.org and the CDC conference site in August. Registry and program managers and staff are encouraged to participate. Members of AIRA will receive discount fees.
Last years workshops were a great success. We anticipate that this year will be even better! So, plan to arrive at the conference early and join with your colleagues in these workshop experiences. Not only will you come away with new learning but you will have the opportunity to discuss and interact with others involved with registry development issues.
