New York City Registry Enhances Communication
with an Interactive Web Site

Immunization registry staff know that communicating effectively with health care providers and families is one of the most important parts of building a successful registry. In New York City, we are adding a new dimension to our communications strategy by launching an interactive website for our Citywide Immunization Registry (CIR). It features a wealth of information for providers and the public about CIR. In the near future, there will be a link from this website to our online application for providers to report, look up and print out individual immunization records, and see recommendations of immunizations due. Please visit us at www.nyc.gov/health/cir and let us know what you think! (You can submit comments to CIR online….) For other registries that have developed websites, please send AIRA your website address. AIRA will post the addresses on the AIRA website at www.immregistries.org so we can all inspire one another.
