Mpox Outbreak

AIRA is closely monitoring ways to support the IIS community in responding to the mpox outbreak that began in May 2022. We are actively working with partners at the state and federal levels and engaging with IIS community members to identify solutions related to challenges with vaccine ordering; inventory and wastage tracking and reporting; shipping information; provider agreements; and reporting of vaccine administration data. This is a rapidly evolving response, and we will continue to compile and provide information as it becomes available.

General Mpox Resources

Mpox Vaccine Reporting Requirements

Mpox Vaccination Program Provider Agreement: With use of the JYNNEOS or ACAM2000 vaccine provided at no cost by the US government (this vaccine), the provider and provider’s organization (Organization) will be deemed to have agreed to comply with the requirements of this Agreement. Any person accessing this vaccine is subject to compliance with the terms of this Agreement, including any updates to the Agreement.

Please refer to the CDC ISD Awardees SharePoint portal for the most recent and official guidance, including:

  • CDC PPX Vaccination Reporting Specification (MVRS)
  • CDC MPX Aggregate Vaccination Reporting Specification (MAVRS)
    • Jurisdictions that are prohibited from submitting line-level data and signed a data use agreement for aggregate reporting should use the MAVRS.
  • The recording and presentation from the office hours session on August 11 are available on the ISD Awardees SharePoint in the IIS All-Awardee Forum folder.
