Nominations for the AIRA Board of Directors are now open!

AIRA’s board of directors provides national leadership for current and future immunization information system (IIS) activities. Serving on the board is a 4-5 hour/month commitment and an amazing opportunity to promote IIS. Nominations are due Sunday, August 19.

Who is eligible to run?

  • AIRA board members must be current AIRA members with a passion for AIRA’s vision and mission. A full list of duties, responsibilities, and eligibility criteria for AIRA officers and directors is available here.

What positions are open?

  • President-Elect: The president-elect assists the president and assumes the responsibilities of the AIRA president during the absence of the president. The president-elect also chairs the Strategic Planning Committee and Nominating Committee. This is currently a three-year term (one year as president-elect, one year as president, and one year as past president).
  • Treasurer: The treasurer oversees AIRA’s fiscal activities and chairs the Audit Committee. This is a two-year term.
  • Three (3) Voting Directors: Represent IIS for a two-year term.
  • One (1) Non-Voting Director: Represents the IIS vendor and business community. This is a two-year term.
