Workgroups

Workgroups manage specific projects or activities to support and strengthen the immunization information system (IIS) community.

  • HL7 Immunization User Group
The HL7 Immunization User Group supports IIS and electronic health record implementers globally as they work to create and maintain immunization interfaces.
  • IIS Best Practice Community of Practice

The Immunization Information System (IIS) Best Practices Community of Practice (CoP) supports the creation and curation of best practice recommendations for IIS with a focus on operational best practices. The IIS Best Practices Community of Practice will not meet this fiscal year and planned activities are on hold.

  • IIS Managers Meetings

These meetings offer a space to talk to other IIS managers about important issues, to create connections, and to spark collaboration.

  • Measurement for Assessment & Certification Advisory Workgroup (MACAW)
MACAW researches and formulates key IIS assessment components, develops pilot metrics, and implements IIS assessment.

  • Power BI User Group (PUG)
PUG brings together IIS staff and implementers to demonstrate how Power BI can be used to achieve members’ various data visualization needs, share Power BI successes and lessons learned, help members troubleshoot Power BI issues, and encourage the implementation of data visualization tools.
  • Publication Project Workgroup (PPW)

PPW was launched in 2022 to foster increased publication of peer-reviewed IIS-related articles. As part of this effort, AIRA has created a “collegial queries” email address. AIRA members can send publication-related questions to this email address, and subject matter experts (SMEs) from the PPW will respond.

  • Tableau User Group (TUG)
TUG brings together IIS staff and implementers to demonstrate how Tableau can be used to achieve members’ various data visualization needs, share Tableau successes and lessons learned, help members troubleshoot Tableau issues, and encourage the implementation of data visualization tools.
