IIS Data Analyst Offerings
AIRA is collaborating with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support the new hire onboarding, training, and advancement of data analysis skills for those who extract, analyze, interpret, visualize, report out, or interact with immunization information system (IIS) data.
How to Participate in IIS Data Analyst Offerings
To participate in one or more of the offerings described below, fill out the IIS Data Analyst Offerings interest form or email [email protected] with the name of the offering(s) in the subject line. For example, “IIS Data Analyst Network and Code Library.”
Data Visualization User Groups
- AIRA offers data visualization user groups to encourage peer-to-peer relationships between jurisdictions and create a community in which members can share their successes and challenges. Learn more about the two data visualization user groups below:
IIS Data Analyst Collaborative (IDAC)
- Held quarterly on the third Thursday of the month, from 1–2 p.m. ET.
- Designed to increase community sharing and learning around IIS data analyst topics.
- Participants will engage in guided discussion on topics relevant to IIS data analysts, present challenges and successes, ask questions of the community and peers, and more.
- New and seasoned IIS data analysts are welcome!
IIS Data Analyst Forum (IDAF)
- Designed to increase community engagement and conversation in real time.
- Post burning questions, answer peers' questions, and more!
- You can request access to the IDAF by emailing “AIRA IDAF” to [email protected].
IIS Data Analyst User Group (I-DAUG)
- Held quarterly on the third Thursday of the month, from 1–2 p.m. ET.
- I-DAUG brings together IIS data analysts to share peer-led, data-driven presentations and foster discussion around analytic tools, methods, and use cases.
- Designed to increase community sharing and learning around IIS data analysis projects.
- New and seasoned IIS data analysts are welcome!
Code Library
- The code library is an electronic storage space where relevant, non-proprietary query code and scripts can be shared.
- The intent is to create a shared space where other IIS data analysts can copy and edit query coding for their own projects.
Technical Assistance

Technical assistance includes support with SAS coding, Tableau dashboard development, and data analysis. Technical assistance can also include help with jurisdiction-specific data quality plans, customized programmatic recommendations, and more.

How to Request IIS Data Analyst Support
Complete a Technical Assistance Request to initiate IIS data analyst support. Within the request form, select "Epidemiology Shared Services" as the category of request.
