AIRA’s workgroups lead focused projects and initiatives that strengthen and support the immunization information system (IIS) community. Explore the workgroups below to learn more about their work and how to get involved.

HL7 Immunization User Group

The HL7 Immunization User Group supports IIS and electronic health record implementers globally as they work to create and maintain immunization interfaces.

IIS Data Analyst Collaborative (IDAC)

IDAC brings together IIS data analysts to share experiences, discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and learn from one another through quarterly discussions.

IIS Managers Collaborative

The IIS Managers Collaborative provides a space for IIS managers to connect, discuss important issues, and spark meaningful collaboration across jurisdictions.

Measurement for Assessment & Certification Advisory Workgroup (MACAW)

MACAW researches and formulates key IIS assessment components, develops pilot metrics, and implements IIS assessment.

Smarty User Group

The Smarty User Group convenes IIS enrolled in the Address Cleansing and Geocoding program—as well as prospect IIS—for monthly conversations to compare, discuss, and troubleshoot implementation of Smarty.

Standards & Interoperability Steering Committee (SISC)

SISC provides technical support and guidance to interoperability efforts.
