AIRA is seeking an experienced full-stack java contract developer to perform a variety of software development tasks related to AIRA’s measurement and improvement process. The contractor will review existing AART technical and user documentation, work closely with the lead developer, become familiar with the code and functionality, and participate in the software development life-cycle. This includes writing and checking in code to fix issues and create new enhancements using a ticketing and project planning process in GitHub and attending at least one developer check-in and two additional team dev standups per week. This position closes on November 18, 2022.

The Alaska Division of Public Health is seeking a Health Program Manager. The Program Manager will provide oversight of customer service, provider recruitment, external relations and quality assurance for the Alaska Immunization Information System (IIS), VacTrAK.


The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is seeking a Director of Informatics. The Director will oversee NACCHO’s Informatics Program which supports data modernization efforts to help local public health departments to improve the quality, access to, sharing, and use of data for public health action, in collaboration with their partners. Specific program efforts include improving the interoperability of local health department information technology systems, as well as enhancing the capacity of the local health department workforce to use new technologies and strategies for the collection, interpretation and dissemination of data that informs decision making.


The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) seeks an experienced candidate to serve as the Vaccine Management Unit Operational Coordinator within the Immunization Division. The primary duties of this role are as follows: assist the Vaccine Manager in the general oversight of the Vaccine Unit, aid to ensure compliance with federal and state vaccine program requirements, act as a subject matter expert on requirements for all state-supplied vaccines and vaccine management policies and procedures, make recommendations to procedures and guidelines in order to improve efficiency within the department, oversee the allocation, distribution, and accountability of the flu, COVID-19 and other outbreak vaccine supplies.


The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s (NYC DOHMH) Division of Disease Control is seeking a medical epidemiologist to serve as the Assistant Commissioner (AC) for its Bureau of Immunization (BOI). This role is responsible for overseeing, managing, and providing leadership. The primary duties of the position are as follows: lead multidisciplinary teams, develop and implement public health policies, strategies and programs to increase vaccine coverage, provide oversight for the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program, management and strategic direction of the Citywide Immunization Registry (CIR), coordinate the implementation of evidence-based strategies and improved reporting of immunizations with health providers, oversee expansion of a Vaccine for Adults Program, and more. 


The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking an Immunization Information System (IIS) Manager to work within the Public Health & Safety Division. The IIS Manager will be responsible for interpreting the program needs and ensuring the IIS requirements are met. This position oversees the design, development, and implementation of IIS enhancements, also analyzes HL7 data communication and produces narrative, quantitative and visual reports, serves as a liaison between bureaus, vendor teams, health care providers and support staff, system testing plans including testing teams and initiatives, and administers the security for all assigned applications. 


The Vermont Immunization Registry (IMR) is seeking a Health Care Training and Curriculum Development Coordinator. This role will act as the lead trainer for IMR. In this capacity the work will be primarily with various IMR users - providers and their associated staff, school nurses, department of health staff, etc.. The primary job duties will include: develop training materials for use in multiple settings/multiple user types, conduct trainings with providers through multiple modes of communication (i.e., remote and in-person), onboard new health professionals, ensuring they have appropriate understanding of the IMR prior to use, outreach to existing users regarding training needs, provide technical assistance to users, utilize data to evaluate existing training curriculum and revise as needed to, coordinate with IMR Manager on changes to the system, any resulting training needs and deployment of any resulting training to users, and coordinate with the other systems within the same platform used by the IMR to identify opportunities for collaboration as relates to provider trainings. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health is seeking an Assistant Interoperability Coordinator to provide day-to-day support for the Interoperability Coordinator by leading HL7 onboarding projects, organizing meetings with key stakeholders, providing routine data quality reviews of data at rest and incoming data, managing IIS code tables, and other IIS related duties as needed.
