AIRA Employment Opportunities

AIRA is hiring two Informatics Project Coordinators across the Health Informatics Division. One position will serve on the Immunization (IZ) Gateway/Onboarding Shared Services (OSS) Team and a second will work on the Immunization Integration Program (IIP) Team. The people in these positions will assist in the execution of goals and strategies, as well as operationalize components of the IZ Gateway/OSS program and the IIP and support the coordination, implementation and tracking of programmatic goals by documenting project activities and progress, coordinating virtual meetings, and providing administrative support. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is looking for an Epidemiologist - Child and Adolescent Immunization. The person in this position will provide child and adolescent data to meet program needs and evaluations to alleviate adverse health outcomes and promote public health in Michigan. This person will conduct data management and analysis and develop reports on immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases in Michigan's child and adolescent populations.


The New Hampshire Department of Health Services has several positions available in the New Hampshire Immunization Information System (NHIIS):

  • NHIIS Onboarding Specialist (five positions) will provide technical support to the New Hampshire Immunization Program, including monitoring system functionality, testing information exchange, providing training, and recommending technical and procedural solutions to improve operations.
  • NHIIS Data Quality Analyst (five positions) will work with Immunization Program staff, the Department of Information Technology, and vendors to perform technical tasks associated with onboarding to unidirectional and bidirectional web-based immunization information exchange.

The Louisiana Department of Health Immunization Program is looking for a Data Analyst Supervisor Program Manager. The person in this position will oversee all immunization data analysis and reporting and collaborate with the LINKS Data Manager and others to inform programmatic and policy recommendations.


The Arizona Department of Health Services is looking for a Business Analyst - Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR) Technical Lead. The person in this position will work closely with HL7 analysts, IT, and labs to ensure timely and complete onboarding of labs; create and update documentation for labs to assist with onboarding and  actively work to coordinate with lab staff; keep up-to-date on new lab testing and ELR guidelines and ensure communication with all partners; and assist with ELR onboarding activities as needed.


The Arizona Department of Health Services is looking for an Epidemiologist I/II. The person in this position will conduct epidemiologic investigations used in the prevention and control of communicable or chronic diseases, injuries, and other health conditions and in the planning of health programs; identify, analyze, and report public health issues and problems; participate in the planning of epidemiologic investigations; design, manipulate, and use databases for analysis of health problems to assess the potential public health impact.


The Tennessee Department of Health Communicable and Environmental Disease and Emergency Preparedness Division is looking for an Epidemiologist 2. The person is this position will oversee all vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) surveillance, outbreak response, and special surveillance projects and provide guidance, support, and technical assistance to Tennessee's 13 public health jurisdictions on VPD investigations and outbreak response.
